Default Party Items at Merchants

Currently the demand for party items exceeds the supply. However, unlike sweet tooth or drunkard, there is no way to buy points from the merchant. Please add an item to certain merchants for party points, hopefully at a price comparable to Red Bean Cakes or Hunter's Ale (200g/pt).

Considering the title was implemented after Halloween and Wintersday, I'm rather annoyed that I can't finish the title (4000 more points) without spending extraordinary amounts of time in trading outposts or trying to hyper-compete on Ventari's Corner. Basically as it stands right now, the available options are: (1) wait until July for the Dragon Festival, (2) Do the snowmen dungeon thousands of times, (3) Sit in Lion's Arch or Kamadan and try to buy items when 5 other people are spamming for party points at the same time.

That would defet the purpose with the Title, might aswell just buy the title from Merchant.
Just remove the Party Title from the game.

That was a remarkably useful post.

I consider drunkard, sweet tooth, and party animal as equivalent titles. Like I mentioned before, you can buy Hunter's Ale, Rice Wine, Dwarven Ales, and Red Bean Cakes from merchants for 200g/pt. Technically you can buy these titles, however at a higher cost than buying from real players. I simply believe that party items should be available in the same manner.

While we're at it, lets remove the sweet tooth and drunkard titles then. Sorry to everyone who spent 1 MIL buying all the booze and sitting more or less idle for 10,000 minutes drinking the booze.

On 2nd thought, since none of these titles have any effect on the game, how about we just make them account based and add party items to merchant, quartermaster, etc.

Many PvE titles can be purchased. So, if you agree with yourself, you're basically saying remove most PvE titles.

I also know of a guild that used to sell fame, they'd bring you on their HA runs and charge per fame recieved, and I'm sure the same could be done for Champ points if some guild took the initiative. Vanquisher and Guardian could also be paid for in the same way. The only title you couldn't "purchase" somehow, would be commander. Unless you paid someone to sync with you and resign all the time.

Remove titles? Sure!
An example of what he is talking about. Just read some of the threads in the linked forum. I have seen everything from fame farming, HFFFing, HM mission/dungeon running.

At 200 gold per point, I think this is a good suggestion. Either that or implement collectors in game that trade in certain items for some sort of party item.

As it is similar to drunkard and sweet tooth I think it would be a good idea. 200g per point would be fair.

I would give one crater to each character of the winning party in GvsG matches, and one party item to be purchased in at least some merchants in each campaign.

Sparklers in Vabbi merchants, Bottle Rockets in Shing Jea merchants and Champagne poppers in Maguuma merchants, for example.

You can already buy sweets and booze, so why the hell not? Let people sink their money if they wish.

/Signed please.

I used to buy red bean cakes from the merchant when I couldnt find a seller. And also make booze minutes count as soon as you consume the item like the other two.
